Host a Workshop at Purl & Ply

We’re looking for creative makers, teachers, and skilled crafters to share their knowledge and bring a little extra hands-on magic to the Purl & Ply market!

Workshops will take place during the market and are a chance to introduce attendees to a new skill, technique, or creative project in a fun and welcoming setting. Whether you have years of teaching experience or a workshop idea you’re excited to try for the first time, we’d love to hear what you have in mind.

How it works

Purl & Ply will provide the workshop space, promote the workshops as part of our market programming, and manage registration and payment administration. In return, Purl & Ply will retain 20% of workshop registration revenue, with the remaining 80% going to the workshop instructor. Please keep this in mind when determining your fees.

Instructors are responsible for developing and teaching their workshop, as well as identifying and providing any materials or specialty supplies required for participants. Material costs should be outlined in your proposal and will be discussed when we finalize the workshop details.

What we’re looking for

We’re especially interested in workshops that are:

  • Hands-on and approachable

  • Suitable for the makers attending our market

  • Focused on learning a skill or creating something participants can take home

  • Welcoming to a range of experience levels

  • A good fit for the creative, community-minded spirit of Purl & Ply

You don’t need to have everything figured out before applying. Tell us about your idea, your experience, and what you’d love to share with our community.

Ready to teach? We’d love to see your idea!
